Yay again

I have finally gotten my other computer to get online, therefore I am posting from it. It is a Power Macintosh 6100/60AV: made in 1994, 60 Mhz Processor, 64 MB RAM, and (here's the funny part) a 14,400 Kbps modem.

I'd like to thank many people for making this happen:

- Mr. Benedict, for supplying "dead" computer, printer, and modem

- Jan Hedlund, grant Adler, and everyone else at the Apple forums

- Steven Kan for his great web site (kan.org/6100)

- Pat McCool from Odyssey Networks support

- Whoever owns something monkey dot com (I forget the domain name

Now, I'm in an ideal evvironment to post, totally free of Microsoft's domination of the computer industry. I am on a 10 year old Macintosh with a 14" screen (both made before the internet was invented), using an ancient version of Netscape (4.05 I think), to post to my blog from the comfort of my own room. You might call me a masochist for surfing the web at under 15 k-bits/sec, and I'm beginning to think the same thing. Maybe I'll buy a faster modem on eBay.

P.S.

NOT MY WAR
